History

The church was built in 1905 on the east end of the Lademoen park. The building was constructed out of roughly hewn granite on the exterior with a brick interior. The building was designed using

and Art Nouveau elements. The building was consecrated on 15 November 1905. From 1954-1956, the church was closed for a major renovation. In 1966, the church received a new roof.
